Overall RatingLodge room was excellent, like a very good hotel with a kitchen. Owners went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we were made to feel welcome. High quality equipment and fittings. Also care taken to ensure the little things like tea/coffee, milk and biscuits were in room on arrival. We would certainly look at staying again when in the area.

Excellent place to stay, very clean and well equipped with essential facilities. Lucy’s family were very welcoming and helped us with some great locations to visit and where we could dine too!. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back soon with my girlfriends.
Exceptional apartment
The couple who owns it were so lovely and so helpful. The apartment had everything you could need in it, it was done to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable.
Luxurious
The hosts were very accomodating, meeting me on arrival and showing me around the lodge and how everything works. Ample parking within the grounds. The lodge itself was very comfy, clean and modern, lovely comfortable bed and bedding. Electronic auto front door locking using key card. Smart TV and free WiFi. Modern infrared panel heating. Dimmable spotlight lighting. Kitchen was very sheek with everything one needs - fridge, kettle, milk, sugar, tea, coffee, biscuits, toaster, oven/microwave/grill, hob, very modern sink and draining board, breakfast bar, crockery etc. Cleaning items provided - dish sponge, washing up liquid, surface cleaner spray, hand wash, hand towel and tea towel. Bathroom was very modern with walk in shower, luxurious towels, heated towel rail, sensor lighting, and toiletries provided. All in all felt very luxurious.
Nice Easter break
The room was lovely and clean. Nice comfy bed. Had everything you need for a weekend away, even tea , coffee. Milk and biscuits .
Nice enough place. Clean. Friendly host. Lots of dog mess around the walkways and car drive which wasn't ideal. Very close to dual carriageway so got very noisy from early morning. Car required as it didn't seem possible to walk anywhere from property.
Perfect for what we needed
Perfect self contained unit ideal for a short break. Clean, comfortable and fully equipped. Friendly owners. Located next to the A47 for good travel access. We used it when visiting relatives who lived nearby. Highly likely to use again in similar circumstances.

My getaway at barn owl lodge
I had the pleasure of staying at barn owl lodge. Fantastic accommodation and great staff, the lodges were fully furnished with everything one could need. I Recommend a visit to barn owl lodge if you are looking for a weekend away. Beautiful scenery looking out into a beautiful field. The location of barn owl lodge is extremely accommodating to everything one would need.
We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway at the Barn Owl Lodge in Lowestoft. The cosy cottage is located just a short drive to the city centre. Lucy and her parents were a wonderful host making sure we had everything we needed. The cottage had a fully equipped kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a lovely field out back to enjoy the sunset. For a relaxing trip to the Suffolk coast, we would definitely recommend staying at Lucy's cute and convenient cottage.

Gorgeous modern lodge, spacious and very clean 🙂 The bed was really comfortable, bathroom was spotless and had everything you needed. The lodge was up to high standard. Would definitely recommend this place! Me and my partner will be coming back to stay here every other weekend to see his family 🙂 amazing !!! If I could give more stars than I would 🙂 we didn’t want to leave, thank you for great hospitality

Excellent place and Excellent hosts!!! I booked two cottages for ourselves and another couple, both places were equally good. We were welcomed by one of the hosts and they had placed a beautiful card to wish us Merry Christmas and New year. The place was sparkling clean. All necessary amenities were provided and were all in great condition.The surroundings are beautiful and refreshing. Hosts have a few cute pets too... The hosts are very responsive in chat and in person. Overall it is an excellent accommodation!!!

I came for business but my son lives close by and I lived around here for many years so really wanted to stay somewhere quiet and peaceful that would remind me of my old farm. This is the most beautiful place - the view spectacular, the host is welcoming and friendly, the lodges are so clean and modern and comfortable - I could live in one! Every single time I come to visit my mum or my son I will stay here - cannot recommend highly enough.

Lovely complex loads of secure private parking , the accommodation was so clean with an Excellent shower and the room had everything you would want . Ideal place to stay for a weekend break for visiting southwold and oulton Broad . Also had a really good Chinese takeaway in the village

We arrived on Friday to be greeted by John, he showed us to our room and explained how things worked. Then off he went and left us to it. The lodge was absolutely beautiful!! It had everything that we would need or want “even biscuits in the jar” We had the most loveliest stay, it was clean to a high standard the smell in the lodge I will never forget! From the moment the door was opened it was stunning! The best sleep we had and I can honestly say I will be returning for longer next month. The barn owl lodge is highly recommended from us and the owners should be extremely proud of what they have achieved 🦉🩷

I have stayed at the lodges on multiple occasions, where I am always met with a warm welcome. The owners maintain high standards within the lodges and it’s grounds and are always happy to help make your stay a good one. The rooms are very clean, fresh, spacious and well equipped, with free on site parking and easy access. The photos on their website and booking sites are a true representation of the accommodation and other reviews mirror the positive experience I have whilst staying here. In summary, it is a delight to stay at the Barn Owl Lodge, which I would highly recommend. Thanks for accommodating me and I look forward to the next time I visit.

Very nice, clean and spacious room with great en suite shower room and kitchen. Kitchen is well stocked with quality appliances .. no washer but you don’t need that. Warm heating, towel rail , large tv and windows onto garden. Excellent white fresh bedding, thick plush towels and great lawned area to sit out on . Place was quiet, plenty of parking .

Fabulous Lodge
We liked everything at the lodge. It was all modern and spacious. It was amazing. The bed was comfortable and clean. The internet was great. I liked the kitchen which has a lots of cupboard space and the hob/oven was easy to use. The bathroom was big in size and the shower easy to use. Parking is free and spacious. There are also picnic tables and chairs to sit on outside when the weather is nice. I highly recommend this lodge for a great place to stay.
Excellent place to stay. All very modern inside. The owners are super helpful. There's is a dual carriageway quite near the lodges but that didn't bother us. We'll definitely stay at the lodge again.

Superb accommodation and very easy access. Modern, bright, private. Well laid out apartments with everything you need to cook, work or just relax. Lots of public footpaths right from the property to take advantage of the countryside when you're done working. No shops within reasonable walking distance so make sure you have everything you need before you crack the wine open.

Excellent Accommodation
Beautiful apartments offering everything you need for a break. Rooms are kitted to a very high standard including high quality towels and bedding, everything you need to cook with, smart TV and blueray player! John greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the apartment and explained how everything works. He has clearly put a lot of time and money into the lodges and makes you feel very welcome! Fantastic location which is very convenient to visit Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills and Africa Alive. Although it is situated on the A12 it is very quiet! Would definitely return if in the area.

Lovely little break
Just got back from a lovely little break away to the seaside and a stay at Barn Owl Lodge. On arrival we were greeted by the owner and shown around the chalet that we had been allocated. He was extremely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was very well equipped with everything that we could have needed for our stay.The surrounding area of the Lodge was very well kept and we spent quite a bit of time in the grassed yard area, sitting out at the table for drinks and our meals. We had scheduled a little BBQ of our own and the owners even offered us the use of their gas BBQ. All in all we had a very pleasant few days here and felt very relaxed by the time we left. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to stay in this area. Many thanks to the friendly owners.
Cracking little lodges, great hosts and location is spot on. Situated directly between Yarmouth and lowestoft. We stayed for 2 nights and would have stayed for a 3rd if they wasn't fully booked up. John and his family were really nice and the lodges are finished to a good standard. Executive describes them to a tee. There is a main road outside the property but wasn't a issue. There is also a water treatment plant near by but again wasn't a issue for us over the weekend. We would recommend these lodges to anyone staying in the area and will definitely be in contact in the future when visiting. Great find!
These self catering rooms are beautifully finished. From modern kitchen too fully tiled bathroom! The accommodation is very modern and no experience been spared! They also have smart TVs and blue ray DVD players, would and have recommended this place to friends! 😀
